Join Victoria Cudjo for a special 4-class Yoga Nidra series in October.

Yoga Nidra is an ancient meditation technique that shifts the brain from the thinking center to the feeling center, helping to create a deeper sense of stillness and peace. During this sleep-based meditation, the brainwaves shift from beta to alpha, the initial state of calm, then to theta, the dream-like state/REM state, which enhances learning and creativity, and eventually reaching the blissful delta state, allowing the body to heal deeply and release stress hormones out of your system. Yoga Nidra allows your body to let go and has profound effects on the nervous system. It improves sleep, digestion, mood, and can reduce anxiety amongst a number of other restorative benefits. In this class we will begin with about 5 minutes of simple movement to get our bodies prepared for stillness in meditation. During Yoga Nidra we will lay on our backs, so be sure to bring any props that will make you more comfortable (pillows, special blankets, eye covers, etc.) and dress comfortably.
