Therapeutic Touch & Restorative Bodywork

  • 405 Northwest 30th Street Oklahoma City, OK, 73118 United States (map)

Touch has the power to quiet the nervous system, ease muscular tension, and cultivate a deep sense of rest and connection. In this 3-hour experiential workshop, you'll learn simple, effective hands-on techniques designed to support relaxation, connection, and overall well-being.

Blending restorative yoga postures, gentle osteopathic-inspired release techniques, and Thai bodywork, we'll explore how intentional touch can become a powerful tool for caring for others. Throughout the workshop, you'll alternate between giving and receiving, developing confidence in your hands while experiencing the restorative effects of the work yourself.

Together we'll explore

  • Principles of effective, therapeutic touch and partner communication

  • Hands-on techniques to address areas of chronic tension and pain

  • Gentle osteopathic-inspired releases for the neck, shoulders and hips

  • Thai bodywork techniques that combine yoga-inspired stretching, gentle pressure, and rhythmic movement to create ease throughout the body

  • Nervous system regulation through supportive holds and rocking techniques

  • Creating ease and comfort with bolsters, blankets, and supportive positioning

  • Learn how to work with Marma points (yogic acupressure points) of the head, face and neck

Who is this for?

This workshop is open to yoga teachers, wellness professionals, caregivers, couples, friends, and anyone interested in learning practical ways to help others feel supported. No prior bodywork experience is necessary, and you don't have to sign up with a partner to attend.

Leave with techniques you can immediately share with students, partners, friends, and loved ones, along with a deeper understanding of how intentional touch can foster connection, relaxation, and healing.

Yoga teachers will receive 3 hours of continuing education credits through This Land Yoga.
